John Dimas

My Family moved to Wheaton from Ohio in 1956. I grew up on the 400 block of east Illinois street. Graduated Wheaton Central class of ‘ 73 after which I went to Wyoming Technical institute where I earned a Doctor of Motors Certificate and graduated. I came back home to find a job at Bob’s Wheaton Union 76. I worked for Bob Waszak until 1978, when I started J&C Central in the old Hocker Oil Central 66 building at 420 S. Main street. We’ve been here ever since. How ever in our 34 years of business we have had J&C West at county farm and Roosevelt , and J&C East in Down town Glen Ellyn and most recently we acquired a Hot Rod Shop in Addison. I am a Past President of the Wheaton Jaycees, Current member of Wheaton Rotary, I was a member of the Wheaton Bible Church for 15 years and currently attend Community fellowship Church. I am a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I play Trumpet with The Moon Lighters Big Band. we perform the first Wednesday of the month at Morgan’s Steak House in Winfield. My other hobby is building and collecting hot rods.
